GN Vertical Screen Scroll Centrifuge is designed for solids and liquid separation. It is also called conveyor discharge centrifuge or worm screen centrifuge. GN Screen Scroll Centrifuge Working Principle

GN Vertical Screen Scroll Centrifuge consists of screen, scroll, basket, flight and housing. The raw material mixed with liquid and solids will be feed to the vertical centrifuge by screw conveyor or other conveying equipment to the top feeder. And as the rotor is running at a high speed, the material is sped up by centrifugal acceleration. The liquid is force to go out from the opening on the screen by the high centrifugal G force. The liquids that have gone through screen are obtained and discharged through effluent outlet from the side of machine As the solids is bigger than the opening on the screen, which cannot pass the screen. The flight and the screen have a differential speed. This differential speed is the reason for the flight to push the solids down to the discharge of the vertical centrifuge which is at the bottom of the machine.

Due to the principle of the screen scroll centrifuge, the limit of the separation depends on the size of the solids, normally it should be bigger than 0.25mm otherwise, the solids will go through the screen opening with the liquid.
