Recently, GN shipped one set sludge screw press dewatering unit to USA. Screw press is a type commonly used dewatering equipment for sludge produced in multiple industries. The screw press in this order will used in a small scale municipal sewage treatment plant for sludge dewatering in aeration tank.

Screw press is designed as structure compact that is suitable for job site with limited area. In the adoption of the fluids touching parts, normally the stainless steel 304 is acceptable. According to users’ requirements or the sludge condition, the material of SS316 and even the duplex stainless steel 2205 is adopted. GN screw press is including sludge collection tank, polymer mixing tank, dewatering module and control panel. In the dewatering module, the fixing disc ring and floating disc ring is installed surrounding the screw shaft to form the sludge cabin. With the sludge cabin space gradually reducing, the sludge is squeezed drier and drier; in the meanwhile, the water flows out from the gas between fixing ring and floating ring.

The screw press in this order is GNDL402 with 2 each screw shaft diameter of 400mm. So far, it is the common used biggest screw diameter in the market. To choose a suitable model of the screw press, the user needs to know the solid concentration in the sludge, according to the required dry solid discharge capacity, the screw press is selected. When transporting, the GNDL402 can be packed into the container, sometimes, when choosing the model of GNDL404 that is not able to be put into the container, the user can use the 2 sets of GNDL402.
