GN Shipped Disc Stack Separator to Customer for Palm Oil Waste Treatment
Not long ago, GN completed the factory test run of two sets of disc separators and then shipped them to Southeast Asian customer by sea for waste treatment of palm oil plants. Many Southeast Asian countries have palm oil related industries. Centrifugal separation equipment is often seen in the processing and waste treatment of palm oil, and disc separator is one of them.
The production of palm oil has a complete process flow, which roughly includes palm fruit picking, cleaning, grinding, centrifugal extraction and oil clarification. Horizontal decanter centrifuges are usually used in the centrifugal extraction stage, two-phase or three-phase. This equipment can separate palm pomace from the liquid phase, and the separated oil products are sent to the disc separator for clarification and even further refining.
However, a certain amount of oil remains in the waste oil sludge discharged from palm oil plants. Some waste treatment plants obtain economic benefits by recycling this waste oil into fuel oil. In the process of treating waste oil sludge, three-phase separation process is still needed, therefore horizontal decanter centrifuge and disc separator is also common equipment.
GN disc separator adopts top feeding design. By using specified disc structure and quantity, it can fully ensure the separation effect in palm oil treatment. For two liquid phases with different specific gravity, the separated light liquid and heavy liquid are exported through different centripetal pumps inside the separator bowl, and the solid slag is accumulated in the bowl and discharged automatically with pre-set slag discharge frequency.
GN is able to provide a series of centrifugal separation equipment, including decanter centrifuge and high-speed tubular centrifuge in addition to disc separator. For more information, please contact GN separation
