GN Screw Conveyor and Decanter Centrifuge for Drilling Waste Treatment
This week, GN finished the manufacturing and test running of one batch equipment used for waste coming from drilling site. The drilling waste is mainly consisting of drilling cuttings, base oil and mud additives. Normally, on drilling site, the driller always pursues to recycle the drilling mud so as to reduce the drilling cost.
GN screw conveyor can be designed to fit the drilling site layout for easy connecting with the primary mud recycling equipment like vibrating screen. The designed installation position and height would help the screw conveyor better collect the drilling waste from the screen discharge port. According to the specified site situation, transferring capacity, the screw conveyor can be customized in length and screw diameter. GN is able to design the conveyor with open top, closed top cover or grating top cover. For application in cold area, the screw conveyor casing can be equipped with insulation layer.
The screw conveyor will be connected to a coarse cuttings removing equipment, vertical cuttings dryer unit, to separate the large size cuttings. To make the oil base mud reusable, the effluent needs to be pumped to decanter centrifuge for fine cutting separation. Cuttings are always high wearing that will speed up the inner parts of the decanter bowl. In order protect the decanter and reduce the maintenance cost, GN adopts the tungsten carbide plate and bushing to protect the decanter screw and solids discharging port. According to client requirements and preference, GN is able to equipment decanter centrifuge with both fixed speed and VFD control panel. By using the VFD control panel, the operator can set the bowl speed according to actual working conditions.
