This week, GN shipped out one batch of environmental wastewater treatment equipment to Tianjin client. In recent years, GN developed many products that are widely used wastewater treatment and sludge dewatering industries. The brand of GN Separation is mainly focusing on the solid-liquid separation and sludge conveying solutions.

The stack separator and decanter centrifuge are both used for solid liquid separation, the working principle is to feed the sludge into a high speed running bowl, with different centrifugal force, the solids and liquid will be layered. And then the inner structure will separate the solids and liquid.
Difference between Stack Separator and Decanter Centrifuge
1. The stack separator is installed vertically, while the decanter centrifuge is horizontally.
2. Inside structure, the inner rotating part of the stack separator is a group of disc plates; different phases separate on the inclined plates and accumulate at different position of the bowl then discharged from different outlet of the separator. The decanter centrifuge is with a screw propeller inside the bowl that can push the solid cake to the solids drying area, and then discharged out from outlet.

3. The decanter centrifuge can be fed with sludge that is with relative high content of solids, and the solids size is bigger. The disc separator can be installed after the decanter centrifuge to treat the effluence coming from the decanter to remove the less content and much finer solids as the disc separator has much high running speed and G force.
Both the decanter centrifuge and disc separator are classified as 3-phase model and 2-phase model. In the oil sludge treatment system, both the decanter centrifuge and disc separator are equipped for different procedure application.
