This week, GN shipped out the fabrication of the customized sludge vacuum pump that would be used for bilge cleaning in a shipyard.
The sludge vacuum pump is a kind of transferring pump fully driven by air, thus no need any electricity. For hazardous or frame proof area, this pump is an ideal solution for multiform material transferring including liquid, low solid content slurry, high solid content wet sludge and even dry powder or gravels.

Bilge cleaning is a main job in ship building plant or main business in shipyard. Due to the small size of the hatchway and large depth from deck to bilge bottom, very few machine can be put down into the bilge, normally need manually clean the bilge and take the sludge out by using the barrels. GN customized structure sludge vacuum pump is designed to fit the hatchway size, so that the equipment can be put into the cabin easily, after quick connection inside the cabin, the pump can start work fast. Its powerful discharge capability ensures the sludge can be discharged out onto the collection bag on the deck.

The sludge vacuum pump is with wide application in many industries. For example, in oil sludge treatment, the pump can be used to transfer the sludge. In kitchen waste treatment package, the pump can be used to pick up the waste from fermentation tank. In mining industry, the pump can transfer the mining tailing and in agriculture industry for grain transportation.
