1. Comparing with conventional volute design, GN centrifugal mu pump is with thick, strong concentric casing providing extended life. The concentric design also minimizes turbulence and abrasive wear.
2. Wide open-vane impeller creates lower axial thrust for improved bearing life and the anti-loosening impeller lock bolt eliminates pump damage in case of improper motor hook-up.
3. The skid for supporting pump and motor is made from casting instead of welding to provide reliable operation and less vibration so that to extend the pump and motor life.

GN centrifugal mud pump could be used for flowing materials like various muds. One typical application is to transfer the mud produced in hydrovac excavation slurry dewatering. In the slurry dewatering system, this pump could transfer the mud to dewatering equipment like cyclone unit. The mud fed into the cyclone unit is with sufficient pressure, which ensures the separation performance of solid and liquid in cyclone unit. Comparing with displacement screw pump, the centrifugal mud pump is simple to operate and maintenance.
